Even in a 41-34 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, the New England Patriots still made a strong case for being among the top tier of contenders for this year’s Super Bowl.

By coming back from a 31-3 second-half deficit to tie the game with 28 unanswered points before ultimately losing, the Patriots showed they have the resiliency of a champion and continued to display the NFL’s most explosive offense, even against the NFL’s No. 1 scoring defense.

The anticipation for this week is killing me. Not only do I have the Ravens-Patriots game to look forward to, but I’m also going to be covering the Senior Bowl all next week (follow me on twitter for updates @dougkyed).

After rewatching the Patriots-Broncos game from earlier in the year, here are some observations I made about how Tim Tebow played against the Patriots – including a look at every incompletion in the game.

Bills vs Patriots: The Aftermath

So raise your hands if you were freaking out about that first quarter for the Patriots?

You should all know better by now that that’s just how this team operates. We’ll see how it goes come playoff time, but for now the Patriots used their “start off slow and end fantastically” to clinch home field throughout.

Here are some things I noticed today:
