According to’s Peter King, Tom Brady is going to be a Patriot for the foreseeable future. Brady will officially sign a 4-year deal that averages close to $19 million per year, making him the highest paid player in the NFL.

Brady will remain under contract until 2014, as the 4-year deal is tacked on his current deal which runs through 2010.

According to his agent Andy Simms, Devin McCourty is officially a Patriot.  By inking the five-year deal, $13.2 million dollar deal ($7.8m guaranteed) with New England, the former Rutgers cornerback joins an up-and-coming defensive back corps that has seen an injection of youth over the last couple of years.

Brandon Spikes is now the 3rd Florida Gator to sign their rookie contract with the New England Patriots, joining tight-end Aaron Hernandez and DE/OLB Jermaine Cunningham. Spikes signed a 4-year deal reportedly worth $3.21 million dollars.  Only 1st-Round draft pick Devin McCourty remains unsigned going into rookie portion of training camp.


Tom Brady Reports to Training Camp

According to Adam Caplan of, Tom Brady reported to Patriots training camp today.  Multiple ESPN sources, including Chris Mortensen and John Clayton, called into question whether the three-time Superbowl champion would report to camp on time. Seemingly, this would end months of angst and speculation over whether Brady’s perceived vexation over a long and arduous time dealing with the last year of his contract.

Rob Gronkowski signed his rookie deal with the Patriots - will he be the answer to their red-zone woes?

The Patriots inked Rob Gronkowski, former Arizona Wildcat tight end, to a four year rookie contract – the deal can be worth up to $4.4 million dollars.  Gronkowski joins Alge Crumpler and fellow draft-pick Aaron Hernandez at the TE spot on the Patriots roster.

The Patriots signed former Florida Gator Jermaine Cunningham, the middle of three 2nd-Rounders in the 2010 NFL Draft.  Cunningham signed a 4-year deal the day before Patriots rookies were set to report.  Financial terms were not immediately disclosed.
