The Patriots (1-1) look to avoid dropping below the .500 mark tonight as they face the Baltimore Ravens (1-1) at 8:30pm eastern on NBC.

Stick with us here at NEPD all day for all the pertinent information leading up to the game.

9:00am – The Patriots have already announced that Alfonzo Dennard, Brandon Deaderick, Aaron Hernandez and Justin Francis won’t be playing in tonight’s game. They will need to announce three more inactives.

9:05am – Here is a link to the full Patriots / Ravens injury report.

9:15am – We wrote two preview pieces yesterday, one including an unpopular prediction and the other with 10 things the Patriots need to do to win.

9:30am – According to a source, ESPN Boston is reporting that Kellen Winslow will be active tonight. What his role is, remains to be seen – he didn’t fit in very well with former Belichick coaches Eric Mangini and Greg Schiano.

9:40am – Vince Wilfork feels like the Ravens are a division rival.

9:45am – Each team will have a Jones brother playing on defense tonight.

10:00am – According to multiple media reports Ravens WR Torrey Smith left the team because one of his younger brothers, Tevin died in a motorcycle accident early this morning. For anyone who knows Smith’s story it’s another tragic turn of events. At this time it’s unknown if he will play in the game tonight. Ravens Coach John Harbaugh has left the decision up to Torrey. Under these circumstances there are much more important things than a football game. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Smith and his family.

2:00pm – Patriots division rivals are having a tough day in the injury department. C.J. Spiller, Aaron Maybin and LaRon Landry have all been knocked off the field at some point – severity is unknown at this point, but Spiller’s injury looked bad.

3:20pm – LaRon Landry returned to the game, but now Darrelle Revis has been carted off with a knee injury. Reggie Bush is also out with a knee injury. Both have been declared out for the game.

3:25pm – For the first time in history, former Patriots RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis fumbled.

7:00 PM – The Patriots official Inactive list is out – RB Shane Vereen, TE Aaron Hernandez, OC Nick McDonald, CB Alfonzo Dennard, DE Justin Francis, DE Justin Francis and DT Brandon Deaderick are all inactive.

TE Kellen Winslow, WR Deion Branch and LB Niko Koutouvides are all active after being signed earlier this week. Tight End Daniel Fells is active for the first time this season, meaning that the Patriots have FOUR TE active tonight.

Brandon Lloyd, Logan Mankins and Dan Connolly all of whom were questionable prior to the game are active tonight. The Patriots will have their full complement of offensive linemen, which they will need tonight. The interior OL struggled to block the Arizona front seven with Dan Connolly limited last week. With DT Brandon Deaderick sidelined with an ankle injury UDFA Marcus Forston will make his NFL debut tonight.

Another ominous sign for Shane Vereen. After practicing all week he remains a gameday inactive. It’s pretty clear he has been passed on the depth chart by UDFA Brandon Bolden, not to mention losing the starting job to Stevan Ridley. Compared to other teams in the NFL the Patriots enter the game in pretty good health.
