NFL Draft Homework: Champs Sports Bowl

Miami (FL) vs Wisconsin, December 29th, 8:00pm, Wisconsin

Top NFL Draft Prospects for the Champs Sports Bowl:

1. Gabe Carimi, Junior OT/OG, Wisconsin (Pictured)
Carimi is a light-footed big man that can play across the line. He consistently beats his man at the point of attack and moves on to the second level, while still being an adequate pass-blocker. Seems like an ideal RG or RT, with a 2nd-round grade.

2. Jason Fox, Senior OT, Miami
Tons of experience and a frame with room to grow (6-7/310) will tempt scouts to use a late 2nd, early 3rd-round selection on this Hurricane tackle. Not the most talented, but uses smarts and tenacity to get the job done.

3. O’Brien Schofield, Senior OLB, Wisconsin
Showed as a Senior that he can play the OLB position well, although his coverage skills are still quite raw. Suited best for the 3-4 OLB or elephant position, Schofield will need to show scouts that his hips are loose enough, as they already know that he can get after the quarterback.
