2008 NFL Draft: Redo

Parcells ThinkingWe’re only through the first quarter of the 2008 NFL season, but here is our take as to how the top half of the first round of the draft would play out if it happened today.

We would have a few newcomers to the top 16 in Chris Johnson, Brandon Flowers, Matt Forte, and Desean Jackson. These three have been spectacular at their positions for their teams, and Flowers, who has played well for the lowly Chiefs, would also fill a need for the Patriots. Close misses were Felix Jones and Eddie Royal.

Derrick Harvey, Jerod Mayo, Branden Albert, all would fall into the bottom half of the first round as they have been good but not amazing. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie would probably go late in the second round, as he has been just dreadful.

    I can haz Eddie Royal?

  2. Admin says:

I haven’t given up on Gholston yet, and I think he would be better off in a 4-3 set in Jacksonville.

Vern Gholston stinks and i’m a Jets fan… I would put him in the early second round

Gholston is drafted 9th and Mayo late in the first round??? Gholston can’t even stay on the field, while Mayo is on the field almost every snap.
