Top NFL Free Agents: QB

QB / RB / WR / TE / OT / OG / OC / DT / DE / OLB / ILB / CB / SS

1. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints – (Franchised by New Orleans)
Brees is coming off a season where he broke the all-time passing yardage mark. He is a top 5 QB in the NFL and is a lock to receive the franchise tag from the Saints.

2. Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts – (SIGNED with Denver)
Manning is the hottest name on the free agent market. Looks like its going to be a bidding war between Denver, Arizona, Tennessee and Miami for Manning’s services.

3.Matt Flynn, Green Bay Packers – (SIGNED with Seattle)
Flynn is bound to receive a ton of interest from QB needed teams. He has flashed in limited viewings. Teams will have to question whether he is Kevin Kolb and worth 10+ million per year.

4. Alex Smith, San Francisco 49ers – (RESIGNED with San Francisco)
Smith is coming off a career year under Coach Harbaugh. He would be foolish to leave San Francisco where there is finally some form of offensive stability.

5. Kyle Orton, Kansas City Chiefs – (SIGNED with Dallas)
Orton is consistantly underrated, whenever he plays he seems to play well. He should get a starting look somewhere

6. Brian Hoyer, New England Patriots (RFA) – (RESIGNED with New England)
Hoyer has looked very polished and poised during his limited game time in New England. Could Hoyer be the next of a line of Tom Brady backups to get a starting job somewhere?

7. Chad Henne, Miami Dolphins – (SIGNED with Jacksonville)
Henne has likely lost his chance to prove he can be a starter in the league, but should be a viable backup somewhere.

8. Jason Campbell, Oakland Raiders – (SIGNED with Chicago)
Campbell looks good in short spans and thus is best suited as a system backup.

9. Josh Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – (SIGNED with San Francisco)
Blocked by Josh Freeman in Tampa the athletic dual threat QB will receive plenty of interest on the FA market.

10. Vince Young, Philadelphia Eagles – (SIGNED with Buffalo)
Young is a shell of his former self. About 50 pounds heavier and still as inaccurate, his best fit is to return to the Eagles as Mike Vick’s backup.

11. David Garrard, Free Agent – (SIGNED with Miami)
Garrard sat out last year due to injury after being release days before the season by Jacksonville.

13. Sage Rosenfels, Minnesota Vikings – (RESIGNED with Minnesota)
14. Brady Quinn, Denver Broncos – (SIGNED with Kansas City)
15. Dennis Dixon, Pittsburgh Steelers
16. Matt Leinart, Houston Texans – (SIGNED with Oakland)

29. Kellen Clemens, St. Louis Rams – (RESIGNED with St. Louis)
30. Kevin O’Connell, New York Jets – (SIGNED with San Diego)
