Top NFL Free Agents: OG

QB / RB / WR / TE / OT / OG / OC / DT / DE / OLB / ILB / CB / SS

1. Carl Nicks, New Orleans Saints – (SIGNED with Tampa Bay)
Nicks is going to be one of the most sought after FA. It’s unlikely he will return to New Orleans because they already have paid Jahri Evans and having the two highest paid OGs in the league is just not financially feasible while you have a lot of other key free agents to sign.

2. Ben Grubbs, Baltimore Ravens – (SIGNED with New Orleans)
Baltimore like New Orleans has already paid their opposite guard a lot of money. Bringing back Grubbs may not be easy. They will likely use the franchise tag on him if they feel like they can’t afford him long term.

3. Evan Mathis, Philadelphia Eagles – (RESIGNED with Philadelphia)
The Eagles OL opened up massive running lanes for Shady McCoy all season. Mathis graded out as the top OG in the NFL last season according to Pro Football Focus

4. Steve Hutchinson, Minnesota Vikings – (SIGNED with Tennessee)
Hutchinson is passed his prime but he can still be a solid addition to a team who is looking for an OG. He won’t cost as much as the top guys and can be had on a 2-3 year deal.

5. Mike Brisiel, Houston Texans – (SIGNED with Oakland)
Brisiel was part of a Texans offensive line that was widely considered on of the best in the league this year. Brisiel is a zone blocking guard, which limits the possible destinations.

6. Vernon Carey, Miami Dolphins – RETIRED
Carey started his career at OT and moved to guard. He doesn’t play at a pro bowl level, but for a contending team that needs help on the OL, Carey would be a good fit.

7. Robert Gallery, Seattle Seahawks – (SIGNED with New England, RETIRED)
Gallery was released by Seattle this week, he’s on the decline but in the right situation could revive his career

8.  Jake Scott, Tennessee Titans
9. Chilo Rachel, San Francisco 49ers – (SIGNED with Chicago)
