All the football that “really mattered” is in the books and it’s time to start reflecting on the past week and what it means going forward. Overall, I thought the practices were much more productive than last year and all of that can be attributed to new Executive Director Phil Savage.
Savage wanted to make sure scouts were able to get as much information as possible while down here in Mobile. In this article I take a look at each position and let you know who I think was the top performer at each one.

Today was the last day of Senior Bowl practice and despite the players being in only helmets and shorts I was able to get pretty good notes, thanks to 7 on 7 passing drills as well as defensive line technique work.
It was the scouts finally opportunity to fill in holes on prospects while down here in Mobile as the NFL teams began to clear out and head back on the road.

I continued with my Google+ hangouts with some of the biggest name players down here in Mobile. Today’s crop of players all possessed great character, were well spoken and have perfomed very well so far this week. Among the names to stop by our set up today were Oregon’s Kyle Long, Arkansas’s Tyler Wilson, UCLA’s Johnathan Franklin and Datone Jones as well as Missouri Southern stud NT Brandon Williams. Check out what these prospects had to say about the Senior Bowl and their future NFL endevours.

The Lions coaching staff is running a physical and emotional practices here at the Senior Bowl. With such a physical competition it seemed a lot of injuries were cropping up. Overall it was a very good practice with the tone set early. Today the players were used to their surroundings and it showed. I thought some players bounced back well and some continued to ascend up draft boards.
Here are my 15 thoughts from Day Three at South Practice.

Day two was my first opportunity to see the South team on the field practicing. With no QB separating himself from the pack it was a chance for the South QBs to steal the show and possibly improve their draft standing. The competition was good throughout the day, as the players settled in and got acquainted to their surroundings.
Who were the players who stood out? What was the highlight of the day? Which players struggled in this environment? All that and more in my 15 thoughts.
The first 24 picks in the NFL draft order are now set following the first round of the NFL playoffs, and with only one game remaining in bowl season as of Monday, the draft stocks of many prospects are much closer to set as well. As a result, we are in much better position than even one week ago to begin projecting who the top picks in the 2013 NFL draft will be.
The following mock draft includes projections for each pick in the first two rounds, with many new selections including a big change at the top of the draft.
While the NFL draft is still four months away, meaning there is still much time for players’ draft stocks to rise and fall, these are the latest projections based upon the newest projected draft order.
