You can never have too many Rutgers players seems to be the theme of this off-season in Foxboro. Just when it looked like the Patriots were done adding former Scarlet Knights to the roster Bill Belichick strikes again, this time adding WR Mark Harrison to the roster. Harrison was a projected mid-round draft pick, but landed with the Patriots due to circumstances outside his control.

Let’s learn more about Mark Harrison the player.

The 2013 NFL Draft is in the books and the totality of the New England Patriots draft class is finally known. It’s now time to analyze the results, breakdown how the Patriots fared and project the players into spots on the roster.

Over the last 24 hours I’ve had a ton of thoughts running through my head and I try to fit some of those in this article. Did the Patriots fill their holes? What can we expect from these players in year one?

These are some of my final thoughts on the Patriots draft now that it’s all said and done.

2013 NFL Draft: Way Too Early Draft Grades

Aaron Dobson Patriots

What grade did new Patriots receiver Aaron Dobson earn?

NEPD Staff Writer: Tony Santorsa

In a draft that the New England Patriots entered with only five draft picks, Bill Belichick traded away the team’s first round pick and picked up four picks along the way—so the team ended with seven draft picks spread across the board.

Little to no surprise, New England traded out of the first round, but have two picks in the second and third round, as well as one in the fourth and two in the seventh.

With that being said, let’s take a look at our way too early draft grades for the Patriots.

Jeff Demps never saw the field for the Patriots in a regular season game.

According to a report from Jeff Howe, the Patriots are set to trade running back and return specialist Jeff Demps.

Update: The Patriots have traded Demps and a 7th Round pick for Bucs RB LaGarrette Blount.

2013 NFL Draft: Day Two Thoughts on the Patriots

Aaron Dobson

Aaron Dobson has some ridiculous hands.

NEPD Editor: Mike Loyko

The Patriots entered day two of the draft with four selections and ended up using all of them. The first three picks were used on highly touted, well known prospects that should be able to help the Patriots immediately. Just when it looked like it was going to be a relatively “clean” and uneventful draft, Bill Belichick throws the curve ball at you.

Here are my thoughts on the Patriots draft up to this point.
