Every draft season, there seems to be one player with a consensus first round grade that drops for one reason or another to the middle of the second round or even further.

In the recent past, we’ve seen players like Da’Quan Bowers, Justin Houston, Carlos Dunlap, Ryan Mallett, Brandon Spikes, etc. all fall because of injuries, character issues, or whatever was going on with Ryan Mallett last season.

2012 Senior Bowl: Melvin Ingram Interview

Melvin Ingram (DE/OLB, South Carolina) has had a pretty incredible week down in Mobile, Alabama. He took some time after Senior Bowl practice to chat with Doug Kyed.

Ingram talks about where he fits at in the NFL, who he models his game after, and what he is doing to prepare for the combine.

The former Gamecock is currently our #3 defensive end.

Mike Loyko also had a chance to chat with Ingram.

It’s safe to say that the 2012 NFL Draft prospects in the Capital One Bowl between Nebraska and South Carolina went down fighting.
