What began as a defensive struggle between Michigan State and Texas Christian eventually concluded with a fair amount of scoring as the two teams began to find some offensive rhythm; ultimately, the Spartans were able to emerge with a 17-16 victory following a 47-yard field goal. Each of the game’s four major prospects – Le’Veon Bell, Dion Sims, William Gholston, Josh Boyce – improved their draft stock on the night. Read on for more information regarding these four juniors.

7-5 Texas Christian will play 6-6 Michigan State tonight in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in what should be a predominantly defensive affair. TCU ranks 35th in the nation in scoring defense, while Michigan State is ranked ninth. However, although both the Horned Frogs (61st) and the Spartans (109th) have struggled to score, most of tonight’s interesting prospects are on the offensive side of the ball. Le’veon Bell nearly beat Boise State by himself and in doing so, vaulted himself into the national consciousness. I’d expect to see “Bell for Heisman” campaigns springing up all over East Lansing.
