Back before this whole NFL lockout thing started, Kenny Tate decided to stay in school for one more college season – here are your last chances to see him play before the 2012 NFL Draft.

An opening day (9/5) matchup against Miami, a Notre Dame game (11/12) being played in FedEx Field, and a Homecoming game against Clemson (10/15) are all good games to check on Tate’s skills.

Weight: 220
Grade: 6.6PS (Grading Scale)

Strengths: Has elite size without losing agility and flexibility – Decent speed, but not a burner – Scheme and positional versatility – Has played safety and linebacker – Will rush the passer from a 3-point stance – Great instincts and very high football IQ – Refuses to take false steps on play-action – Excellent tackler who tears through blockers – Will attack the ball-carrier on every play – Very productive, relentless.

Weaknesses: Will need work to cover NFL WR’s in man – Can improve his jamming technique when asked to play on the line – Not an NFL linebacker.
