It’s hard to believe but the 2013 NFL Draft starts in just a week.
With that being said, we’re in the complete swing of things when it comes to draft talk, so let’s jump right into my latest mock draft.

NFL Rosters have undergone a transformation these past couple of weeks, as the free agency market has made teams adjust to new-found holes on their teams.

Less than two weeks until the 2013 NFL draft, we are in an unusual situation: the draft board has not gotten a whole lot clearer than it was a few weeks ago. That said, speculation is running more rampant than ever.
In this mock draft, I continued to look at how recent trades and free-agent signings have affected teams’ draft strategies, while projecting four possible first-round trades that shook up the draft order.
The New England Patriots are among the teams in a different situation in this mock draft. With the Patriots likely to be giving up their third-round draft pick for wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, they would address their position of greatest need but also lose a valuable selection, leaving them without any picks in Rounds 3-6. With just two picks in the 2013 NFL draft before Round 7, the Patriots are among the teams who could make a deal before making any picks at all.

Chad O’Shea, Patriots receivers coach, better get used to meeting a lot of new faces in 2013. After essentially swapping Wes Welker for Danny Amendola and Brandon Lloyd for Donald Jones, the Patriots certainly aren’t done addressing the receiver position this off-season.

Yesterday, Tennessee wide receiver Justin Hunter’s excellent workout numbers were lost amid captivating 40-yard dash runs of 4.34 seconds and 4.27 seconds by West Virginia’s Tavon Austin and Texas’ Marquise Goodwin, respectively. Considered a possible first-round pick entering the 2012 season, Hunter did everything expected of him at Tennessee but has been consistently slipping down draft boards, constantly overshadowed by teammate Cordarrelle Patterson. Was Hunter’s workout good enough to earn him a first-round spot, and is he a possibility for New England this April? Read on to find out.
