It was nice to get a chance to see the South practice today on a much cleaner field. The first day of practice was over at a high school stadium that was partially flooded. So far, the South team has looked a lot better than the North, so for players to be standing out, they have to be playing very well. (more…)
The USC song girls weren't the only thing looking good at the Coliseum this weekend.

Some fantastic 2012 NFL Draft prospects were on display with USC and Arizona facing off in a PAC-12 battle. Here are my thoughts on some of the best performances.
Strengths: Elite size – Big play threat – Separates well down the field – Normally runs very crisp routes, doesn’t seem to lose speed coming out of breaks – Good, but not great hands – Positions his body well.
Weaknesses: Will occasionally get lazy and round a route off – Used to shy away from contact at times – Not a terrible blocker, but could improve – Doesn’t have elite game breaking speed – Runs a limited route tree.
