Now three seasons removed from the 2010 NFL Draft, NEPD is looking back on the New England Patriots’ selections from that year’s draft and evaluating their successes or failure with each selection. After a strong start to the 2012 season, the New England Patriots will try and build on their opening 34-13 victory over the Titans today against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Patriots lost three games against the New York Giants last year, none of them more disappointing than the Superbowl loss. There was no revenge tonight, as the Patriots lost 6-3 in a game marred by poor line play and questionable refereeing.

It seems like a lifetime ago that the Eagles beat the Patriots in the second preseason game of the season, but I assure you it wasn’t. It was only two days ago.
The Patriots took an odd approach in this game benching many of their key players due to the fact that they have three games in the span of ten days.
Like all preseason games, there was some good and some bad, so instead of my usual six keys to defeat, I’ll split it up and do three good keys and three bad keys.
Jermaine Cunningham was one of the big winners last night.

A depleted Patriots team took on the Philadelphia Eagles last night. With the team playing three preseason games in ten days, Coach Belichick decided it would be best to rest 20+ players who will be on the team Week 1. The Patriots played primarily their second and third teams the entirety of the game but, were still able to make it a competitive ball game. After re-watching the game this morning here’s what I learned.
