New England’s final pick of the 2012 NFL Draft was wide receiver Jeremy Ebert out of Northwestern as he was selected in the seventh round, 235th overall.
While playing at Northwestern, Ebert was utilized as a slot receiver as he recorded fairly productive stats his senior year: 75 receptions, 1,060 yards and 11 touchdowns.

It’s the day that every NFL player dreads.
If you’re not getting cut today, it’s likely one of your best friends is. But that’s just part of the business. Patriots cuts are coming out already and there have been some big and surprising names involved.
I received a ton of questions on twitter about what the cuts may mean, so I figured I’d answer them here.

The New England Patriots enter the season well-stocked with talent; unfortunately, only 53 of their players are eligible to make the opening day roster. A number of the players on roster are eligible for the practice squad, however, in what is expected to be a cutthroat competition.
This article will examine the players most deserving of practice squad spots, along with other practice-squad eligible players who may be able to oust some of the competition for a space.
