2012 Senior Bowl: Jeff Allen Interview

Former Illinois LT Jeff Allen isn’t on the radar of many NFL Draft fans. That said, he jumped on our radar while covering the Illinois vs Northwestern game.

He has continued his great play at the Senior Bowl, where NEPD writer Doug Kyed had a chance to interview him after practice.

Allen is currently our #7 ranked tackle.

It was nice to get a chance to see the South practice today on a much cleaner field. The first day of practice was over at a high school stadium that was partially flooded. So far, the South team has looked a lot better than the North, so for players to be standing out, they have to be playing very well. (more…)

If you were looking for UCLA 2012 NFL Draft prospects in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, you might still be hungry. Luckily, Illinois had some nice future NFL players on display.

Ohio State vs Illinois

The only pretty thing about this game were the stripes in the stands.

In a pretty ugly Big 10 game, it was much prettier to watch the 2012 NFL Draft prospects than some of the actual plays unfolding on your screen.
