Even in a 41-34 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, the New England Patriots still made a strong case for being among the top tier of contenders for this year’s Super Bowl.
By coming back from a 31-3 second-half deficit to tie the game with 28 unanswered points before ultimately losing, the Patriots showed they have the resiliency of a champion and continued to display the NFL’s most explosive offense, even against the NFL’s No. 1 scoring defense.
