Did Alfonzo Dennard do enough to make the team last night? (USPresswire)

The Patriots wrapped up their preseason play vs. the Giants last night. The game was a 6-3 thriller that featured the Patriots resting 21 of 22 starters and basically playing a bunch of 3rd teamers throughout the game. The game was not a total waste, as it was the last chance for players on the bubble to impress coaches and win a roster spot. In this film room post, I focus solely on the handful of players who are on the bubble and how they fared in the game.
For those of you that are fans of our NCAA film room reports, I will be breaking down the Patriots during their four pre-season games. These reports consist of a stream of constant observations, both good and bad, of what players did during the game.
These posts will give readers an idea who stood out and who struggled after reviewing the game film.
We’re here live at the Senior Bowl in the press box, ready to live blog everything you might not see on your television broadcast and some of the stuff you are seeing.
Here are a few prospects to watch during today’s Senior Bowl from the defensive side of the ball. We’ll be scouting everyone, but these are guys that you’ll want to pay special attention to.
We’ll be live blogging the Senior Bowl game today giving up to the second updates on all the best offensive players. After watching these guys all week in practice and picking up as much as we can, the game is the final test to see what these players can do against the top competition in college football.
Today I’ll be trying to focus in on some players that I didn’t get a great chance to watch all week. I’ll also be spending a lot of the game watching the running backs from both sides. Without everyone going full speed and tackling in practice, we didn’t get to see these RB’s full abilities.
Maybe it wasn’t the Big-12-SEC match up some people wanted this year, but it did prove that Kansas State could hold it’s own against a team from “the best conference in college football.” Arkansas prevailed, and had far more Draft prospects for this season.
