Every year, fans and media types pick their sleepers, binkies, favorites, whatever you want to call them, to make the 53-man roster this August. Much has been made already about Thomas Williams, an inside-linebacker that weighs in at 248 pounds, that more than one writer has tagged as a sleeper for the 2010 squad.

Much Ado About Nothing
Tuesday, October 20th, 2009
After 72 hours of fretting and wondering about what huge shakeup would be coming to Foxborough ended in calming fizzle.
In sum, the Patriots released veteran WR Joey Galloway and TE Michael Matthews, while reworking the contract(s) of Tully Banta-Cain and possibly Eric Alexander. According to Bill Belichick, Alexander was never actually released, contrary to published reports.
The two open spots on the 53-man roster pave the way for OT Mark Levoir and WR Brandon Tate to join the squad off of the PUP list. If either of them aren’t quite ready-today was the first day they could practice-a practice squad player could be called up. Don’t be surprised if WR Terrence Nunn sees some action in Jolly London.
Cheerio!
