After adding an extra 2012 pick and Nate Solder (OT, Colorado) on day one of the 2011 NFL Draft, the Patriots have selected Ras-I Dowling (DB, Virginia).


Patriots Trade 28th Pick

After picking Nate Solder with the 17th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Patriots have traded the 28th pick to the New Orleans Saints.

In return the Patriots receive the 56th pick in 2011 and the Saints 1st Round pick in 2012. The Patriots now have three picks in the 2nd round: 33, 56, and 60.

After months of waiting, New England fans finally know who their newest addition to the Patriots is. With their first pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Patriots have selected Colorado OT Nate Solder.

5-tech defensive end that has had some injury concerns. Big guy.

Kade Weston, DL, Georgia
Another 5-tech prospect that will need to stop the run up front.

Zac Robinson, QB, Oklahoma State
Mobile QB that Patriots fans hope will develop like Matt Cassel.

2010 NFL Draft: With the 208th Pick…

The Patriots have selected OT Thomas Welch with the 208th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Welch played his college ball at Vanderbilt. The Patriots gave up their remaining two non-compensatory 7th round picks to move up with Washington.

Welch joins Devin McCourty, Rob Gronkowski, Jermaine Cunningham, Brandon Spikes, Taylor Price, Aaron Hernandez and Zoltan Mesko as the newest Patriots.
