Prior to the season I previewed the Patriots rookies and what was to be expected of them. With a little more than half the season over I take a look at how they have performed and what the future may hold.
Markell Carter was the first Patriot draft pick to sign.
Here is the current signing status of the players that the New England Patriots drafted in 2011.
With the 219th pick, the Patriots expended the last of their selections on Malcolm Williams (DB, TCU). Williams (5’11″, 200) should see time mainly as a special-teams player.
Markell Carter is your newest OLB prospect.
After adding some additional blockers on the third day of the 2011 NFL Draft, the Patriots have selected Markell Carter (OLB, Central Arkansas) with the 194th pick.
Smith certainly looks like a Patriots blocker.
After adding some draft picks to an already loaded offense, the Patriots have added another. Lee Smith (TE, Marshall) is the newest tight end to be selected by New England
