The 2012 NFL season is beckoning, the Patriots have cut their roster down to 53 players and there’s plenty of new additions. There’s only one thing left to do, compare this year’s team to last year’s Super Bowl runner ups.
Obviously the week 1 roster isn’t finalized for the Patriots, so all of this may become moot by early afternoon.
If the Week 1 2011 Patriots matched up against the Week 1 2012 Patriots, who gets the edge? Let’s take sides.
The Patriots have begun to cut their roster down to 53. The cuts aren’t due until 9 PM tonight, so players are bound to be released in waves. There have already been some surprises and are bound to be more throughout the day. Who gets cut? Who survives and who will the Patriots pick up? It’s the day that every NFL player dreads.
If you’re not getting cut today, it’s likely one of your best friends is. But that’s just part of the business. Patriots cuts are coming out already and there have been some big and surprising names involved.
