This win was pretty typical 2011 Patriots game: dominant performances from Brady, Gronkowski and Welker, a slow start for the Patriots offense and a whole bunch of garbage time yards let up by the pass defense. The only thing we were missing was the fourth down Mark Anderson sack.

Here are some things that were different in the Patriots win over the Colts:

Patriots vs Eagles: The Aftermath

Remember when Philadelphia was up 10-0? Eagles fans certainly don’t. As one of my followers on twitter said, Bill probably should have stopped scoring if he wanted his buddy Andy to keep his job. That call to trade draft picks this year might be a little colder.

I’ll have my full post game analysis tomorrow, but here’s my quick hit reaction to the game:

For all the Chiefs fans that complain about Matt Cassel… it could be worse; Tyler Palko proved that.

I’m not being overdramatic, and I’m not being reactionary, but this team has a good chance of going to 5-4 after next week. The offense can’t bail out the defense and the defense can’t bail out the offense when it matters most.

Here are some of my thoughts on the Giants 24-20 victory over the Patriots:

Jerod Mayo

Not even Jerod Mayo's return could help the Patriots beat the Steelers on Sunday.

“To be the best, you have to beat the best.”

After beating the Patriots 25-17, I think it’s pretty fair to say the Steelers are the best team in the AFC. The Steelers controlled the clock and didn’t allow the Patriots to get anything going on offense all game.
