UGA RB Nick Chubb is back and looks to lead the Bulldogs.

The 2016 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff game features one of the best games of the weekend as the Bulldogs take on the Tarheels at the Georgia Dome. This game not only features dynamic prospects but also two coaches who are among the best at designing offensive and defensive schemes. This game should be one of the most entertaining and competitive tilts of the weekend.

Match-up to Watch: UNC WR’s v. UGA Pass Defense
UNC is returning four of its top five wide receivers from last year while UGA returns all four of its starters in the defensive backfield. For UNC it’s going to be the Mack Collins and Bug Howard on the outside with Ryan Switzer and Austin Proehl working primarily out of the slot. Switzer is the most dangerous WR with the ball in his hands but the size of Collins (6’4) and Howard (6’5) will present some match-up problems for UNC to try and take advantage of. For UGA there is going to be a lot of pressure on safeties Quincy Mauger and Dominick Sanders to supply plenty of help for young CB’s Malkom Parrish and Juwuan Briscoe. UGA will also need to find a way to apply consistent pressure on UNC QB Mitch Trubisky, that responsibility will primarily fall to OLB’s Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy. If UGA can find a way to get pressure on the QB they should be able to limit the UNC passing attack, but if Trubisky has time to let his WR’s get down the field then there may just be an upset brewing in the Georgia Dome.

Best Prospect: UGA RB Nick Chubb
There is no question that UGA RB Nick Chubb is the best prospect in this game and while it’s still somewhat surprising that he’s starting this game, head coach Kirby Smart has made it clear that he’s not under any limitations. Chubb is coming off of knee surgery in October to repair multiple torn ligaments, but not his ACL. When healthy Chubb’s combination of size, speed, and power are among the best in the nation and he’ll need to prove that he’s back in order for UGA to not only have a chance to win this game but win the SEC East.
