NEPD Patriots Week 8 Preview and Review

NEPD Editor: Mike Loyko and Joon Lee

This week Mike and Joon are joined by the Boston Herald’s Mark Daniels to breakdown the disappointing but, ultimately thriling Patriots victory over the New York Jets. We also preview this week’s matchup in London vs. the St. Louis Rams and what the Patriots must do heading into the bye week. Among the other topics discussed are how to fix the brutal secondary play, why can’t Bill Belichick draft cornerbacks, free agent tendencies and could Ed Reed ever really be a New England Patriot?

If you have any questions or comments send them to @NEPD_Loyko or @iamjoonlee on Twitter.

Thanks to Mark Daniels for joining us this week. Follow him @mdaniels06

  1. Lundahl says:

First of all, BB did drafted Asante Samuel. He’s not here anymore, but he did play for NE, meaning that BB drafted him. Secondly, BB drafted Devin McCourty who was an all-pro his first year and he is having a very good year so far. He is ranked in the top CBs by PFF. Not Patriots Football Weekly, PFF. The, you gotta know what you want: you want youth, or you want the team to sign 30 year old defensive backs ? They have the youngest secondary in the league. And I like the young potential. Compared to the Redskins and the Eagles who’ve spent millions on “shutdown corners”, well, look at how they are playing, they are miserable.
