Ranking the NFL Starting Quarterbacks

NEPD Editor: Doug Kyed

With the 2012 NFL season starting in just nine days and most of the 32 starting quarterbacks announced, I thought it was time to release my 2012 QB rankings.

These are based on how I think each QB will perform in 2012. Not based on entire careers, not based on two years down the road, the immediate future.

Take a look at my QB ranks after the jump and be sure to leave your own top 32 in the comments section.

Feel free to continue the discussion in the comments section with your own rankings.

Brees plays a soft schedule and plays indoors. I respect him and he is good but not the best.

As much as I hate saying it Rodgers currently is the best QB, better than Brady and even a healthy Manning. Great recognition and reaction skills, accurate with a strong arm and great size, speed and athletic ability.

observation of watching him play tells me he is the best especially accuracy, pocket awareness and just plain playing behind line of scrimmage in any situation. just because like peyton manning, he plays indoors, it does not take away from assessing his skill. matter of fact, you can better judge a QB without the weather abnormally which makes luck a more important factor. he is the most accurate QB in the NFL.

Your assessment is not objective. Drew Brees has proved that he is the best QB in NFL in overall talent but I don’t like saying that.
