Strengths: Ideal interior lineman size and length – Exhibits elite strength both in the weight room and on the field – Displays plus balance – Bends well and can explode out of his stance – Perhaps the best in-line run blocker in the 2012 NFL Draft – Doesn’t let defenders disengage, once he is locked on it is over – Finishes his blocks – Uses angles very well, sets up defenders – Anchors well against the bull-rush, can take a a hit and reset – Very good footwork, plays with his feet underneath him – Has some potential positional versatility, could play some center in a pinch – Smart kid, picks up blitzers with ease.

Weaknesses: Out-quicked at times by defensive linemen, needs to improve his snap reaction – Has a lot of room for improvement in pass protection, doesn’t mirror well due to average change of direction skills – Not as athletic on the move, looked slow on pulls – Struggled at times on the second level – Had some ankle issues during his time at Wisconsin.
