According to Joe Reedy, the Patriots have conducted workouts with three Cincinnati Bearcat 2012 NFL Draft prospects: RB Isaiah Pead, DL Derek Wolfe and TE Adrien Robinson.

More on each prospect after the jump. Check out the full list of 2012 Patriots Draft contacts as well.

Isaiah Pead is our 8th ranked RB in the 2012 class. Pead is an NFL-caliber 3rd down back that runs well in space but will struggle at times running inside. In the passing game, Pead catches the ball well and is an effective blocker.

Derek Wolfe is our 13th ranked defensive tackle, however he projects more as a 3-4 DE in the Patriots scheme. Like former Cinci and New England DL Mike Wright, Wolfe plays with a non-stop motor. Wolfe isn’t the pass-rusher that Wright was, but is stout against the run. At 6’5″ and 280-290 pounds, Wolfe has the right frame for the five-technique position.

Adrien Robinson is a tight-end that we haven’t seen a lot of tape on. However, like many other NFL Draft analysts, I’ll be dusting off some Cincinnati tape after his impressive Pro Day performance.

Im glad to see they worked out Derek Wolfe. I like the way he plays, non stop motor and a hard worker. Would be great to get him in the 3rd or 4th.

Wright wasn’t the pass rusher or player he was coming out of Cincinnati either , other wise he would of been drafted. In my opinion, this is a guy to watch. If Fanene doesn’t work out this is their developement guy. This won’t be the first d-lineman drafted.
