2012 NFL Draft: Evan Rodriguez Interview

NEPD Editor: Mike Loyko

Temple TE Evan Rodriguez took the time out of his busy training schedule to speak with NEPD’s Mike Loyko. Among the topics discussed were his experience at the combine, his college career, the future of the TE position and what he’s currently working on to improve his chances to succeed in the NFL.

With the NFL moving towards TE oriented passing systems; Tight ends like Evan Rodriguez who can be moved around the formation, play on or off the line of scrimmage and create mismatches with opposing defenses will be very attractive to NFL teams. Evan has been compared to current Patriot TE Aaron Hernandez in more than a few ways. Not only are both similar types of players on the field, but both had the chance to be coached by current Temple head coach and former Florida OC Steve Addazio.

If Evan is able to become close to the player Aaron Hernandez is, then he will make which ever team drafts him in April extremely happy.
