That one was really scary.

Still though, it was a win and this is a team heading into the last three games of the season at 10-3 hoping to seal up a first round bye. There are plenty of things you’ll see me complain about, but before we get into that, let’s be happy with the win.

Some things never cease to amaze me about the NFL. No. 1 on this list at times is talent evaluation. Seriously, how many people not named Mike or Kyle Shanahan thought the Redskins could be competitive in the NFC East with Sexy Rexy and Sexy… Beck-sy? I don’t see any theoretical hands raised.

So now the Redskins are exactly where all NFL fans thought they would be in early December and the Patriots get to play them to prep for the playoffs. This should not be a difficult game for the Patriots. I fully expect them to win, so I figured I might do something different for this week’s pre game column. I’m going to highlight some of the best and worst players on the Redskins that the Patriots might have to watch out for:

Film Room: Northern Iowa vs Montana

Trumaine Johnson 2012 NFL Draft

Defensive back Trumaine Johnson solidified himself as a Top 100 prospect in the win over Northern Iowa.

It is always refreshing when actual football games decide things instead of polls and computers.

Montana and Northern Iowa faced off in a FCS quarterfinal, and we were very happy to see some intriguing 2012 NFL Draft prospects in action.

Chandler Harnish showed some NFL chops during the MAC Championship.

There was actually some decent NFL talent in this year’s MAC Championship game. You won’t see any of these guys getting taken on the first day of the draft, but there was a lot to see from players on both sides.

It was an exciting game where Northern Illinois came back from a 20 point deficit lead by QB Chandler Harnish.

With so many big time games and so many big time prospects in action last Saturday, I decided to scout individual players from multiple games rather than stick with one game.

I used this as an opportunity to get one last look at some prospects whom I may not have a good feel for or prospects I just wanted to watch a little more closely.
