Albert Haynesworth Released

Patriots Release Albert Haynesworth

The Haynesworth experiment is over.

In a not so surprising move, the Patriots have released DT Albert Haynesworth today.

The move was likely made due to a confrontation Haynesworth had with defensive line coach Pepper Johnson after Haynesworth showed a lack of effort in the third quarter against the Giants.

The Patriots traded a 2013 5th round pick to the Redskins for Haynesworth in July.

In a tight game where Florida nearly blew another second half lead, the Gators relied on the legs of Jeff Demps to carry their offense in a 26-21 victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores.

USC defensive tackle Christian Tupou will be a name moving up draft boards this winter.

The outcome wasn’t the only thing lopsided about this game. USC has tons of pro potential on their roster while Colorado leaves you thinking, why is this team in the Pac-12?

Freshmen WRs Robert Woods & Marqise Lee had huge days for USC despite a couple drops, as did freshmen LBs Hayes Pullard and Lamar Dawson. As for next year’s NFL Draft prospects, here were my thoughts:
