Jerel Worthy, DL, Michigan State
Height: 6’3″
Weight: 310
Grade: 7.0 (Grading Scale)
Film Room Notes: vs Michigan, vs Wisconsin, vs Iowa, Big 10 CG
Strengths: Elite size and bulk – Possesses a very quick first step, leads to a lot of penetration – Can dominate the inside at times – Draws a lot of double teams, which hurts his production – Changes direction well for a DL – Good bull rush ability – Nice swim move – Incredible upside – May have some scheme diversity, has the physical ability but currently lacks the technique to play as a 3-4 DE.
Weaknesses: Has some correctable technique errors – Gets too upright at times, snaps up if he doesn’t win with his first step – Needs to be more consistent with the use of his hands to disengage – Looks like he could be in better condition, disappears at times.
