SEC West Sleepers

Every year, many NFL Draft prospects fall under the cracks for one reason or another. Matt Elder of Buffalo Bills Draft just started a 19-part series looking at some of these sleepers starting with the SEC West.

FS Damien Jackson-Ole Miss

In his first year in Oxford, Jackson wasn’t able to do much in terms of grabbing interceptions or causing fumbles, he was however a stable and consistent player in the back making sound tackles and helping to prevent big plays from happening. He has ideal size to be a S in the NFL, and showed a very good understanding of the game, as he was able to break down what was happening on the field and keep almost all of it in front of him.

Where Jackson struggles though is in his hips, he’s just does not posesses the ideal fluidity that we like to see in defensive backs heading to the next level. He’s able to move pretty well laterally but when asked to change direction or turn and burn he can give up some seperation.

Just one example of his great takes on some guys flying way under the radar. Check out the SEC West NFL Draft sleepers today and check back for more at his new Bills Draft site.
