According to SI.com’s Peter King, Tom Brady is going to be a Patriot for the foreseeable future. Brady will officially sign a 4-year deal that averages close to $19 million per year, making him the highest paid player in the NFL.
Brady will remain under contract until 2014, as the 4-year deal is tacked on his current deal which runs through 2010.
After a long wait, Brady’s professionalism and team-first attitude have been rewarded once again. He has been nothing but the consummate Patriot, thinking only about football while acknowledging that the off-field issues will take care of themselves.
Next on the list for the Patriots front-office would seemingly be veteran wide receiver Randy Moss, in the same position that Brady was in, is entering the final year of his contract.
