Wes Welker Will Avoid PUP List

UDPATE: Welker was placed on the active-PUP list on Tuesday. Mike Reiss states that it is a  ”procedural thing” and shouldn’t be looked at as bad news for Welker.

According to The Sports Hub on 98.5, Wes Welker has been cleared to be a “full participant in training camp”, which will start on Thursday for veterans. Welker still has to pass an official physical to begin practice, although sources state that they expect him to receive that clearance.

Is Tom Brady thinking about calling a time-out on Training Camp?

Due to his current contract status, Tom Bradywill not be a happy training-camper this Sunday.  However, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Brady might not be a training-camper at all, stating that “Tom Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings; Patriots were near bottom in payroll last year; the ‘take 1 for the team’ isn’t flying well anymore.”

Patriots Sign Two 7th Rounders

Zac Robinson Signs Contract With Patriots

Zac Robinson will be in camp on time - will the Patriots 1st and 2nd Rounders join him?

Just three days away from training camp, the Patriots have signed two more of their 2010 Draft Picks.  Quarterback Zac Robinson and defensive lineman Kade Weston both inked contracts this Thursday.

This leaves only Devin McCourty, Rob Gronkowski, Brandon Spikes and Jermaine Cunningham needing to sign contracts before the opening of practices Sunday.
