Earlier this month, the Patriots conducted private workouts with Georgia Tech running back Jonathan Dwyer and Florida wide receiver Riley Cooper. Both players are expected to go in the 2nd or 3rd round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Dwyer slipped from a 1st round projection with very slow (high 4.5′s) times at the NFL Combine. However, Dwyer is still a powerful, instinctive runner that some team could fall in love with in the first 32 picks.
Cooper was an amazing athlete at Florida, playing baseball as well as being one of Tim Tebow’s favorite receivers. Cooper needs some polish, but could easily develop into a dangerous #2 WR in the NFL.
