The Patriots brought in two signal callers this week for private workouts: Colt McCoy from Texas and Mike Kafka from Northwestern.
McCoy is fresh off an amazing pro-day and several workouts where he dazzled prospective head-coaches with his accuracy. His size and durability is often questioned, but someone with eyes for the next Drew Brees will give him a chance.
Kafka is a mid-round QB that possesses the skills requisite to be a NFL Starter. Best fit would be a team that needs a solid backup that they can develop.
Look for McCoy to be gone before 40 picks are up, while Kafka will probably last until the 4th round.
