The Patriots will be holding private workouts with two lesser known prospects this week: outside linebacker Hall Davis of UL-Lafayette and punter Desi Cullen of UConn.
Davis is an intriguing DE/OLB conversion project, as he has the size (6-4/270), strength (27 bench press reps) and speed (4.8 forty) that Coach Belichick looks for. Davis has been nursing a hamstring for the past two months, cutting short his work at the NFL Combine.
Cullen is just one of many punters that the Patriots will look at this spring to replace Chris Hanson. Cullen averaged 42.8(net) yards per punt during the 2009 season.
