Maurkice Pouncey Visited Patriots

Florida center Maurkice Pouncey made an official visit to the Patriots in late March according to various reports. Pouncey declared for the NFL Draft after an impressive junior season under Bill Belichick friend and Gator coach, Urban Meyer.

Pouncey is a versatile interior lineman that has the ability to play both guard spots as well as center. With contract and performance questions about the three interior linemen for the Patriots, OG and C seem like definite need areas for the 2010 NFL Draft.

Currently slotted as a 1st/2nd Round pick by most NFL Draft experts, we have the Patriots taking Pouncey in our 2010 NFL Mock Draft.

This is a perfect choice if they can get him. Smart, tough, with his “VERSITALLY” being one of his best attributes. We have bigger dlineman in our division. All- pro in 2 years.

what the pats need is a good qb to deliver the ball and still block and move with the defense

Is this the guy who can make the biggest impact for the Patriots at #22 overall?

I really think it’s either OL of DL… it will probably depend on who is available… would be interesting if both Pouncy and Odrick are available…
