2010 Patriots Undrafted Rookie Signings

After selecting 12 new players in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Patriots added seven more rookies to the roster overnight.

Dane Fletcher, DE/OLB, Montana State (6-2/250)
Fletcher looks to be a 3-4 OLB with the Patriots, and is the Big Sky leader in sacks. Great pickup by the Patriots, and we think he’ll make the opening-day roster.

Bryan Anderson, WR, CMU (6-5/215)
Anderson has 4.58 speed, which, combined with his impressive size is nothing to sneeze at. A good blocker as well, Anderson has a chance of making the roster.

Sergio Brown, S, Notre Dame (6-1/204)
Safety with good athleticism and 4.45 speed. It is very crowded at safety, so he will have to try and make the practice squad.

Kyle Love, DL, Mississippi State (6-1/315)
Stout defender that looks to be a backup nose tackle. Another crowded position to try and earn a roster spot.

Ross Ventrone, S, Villanova (5-8/190)
A legacy pickup, as Raymond was once a Patriot himself. Hard-worker that plays bigger than his size.

Pat Paschall, RB, North Dakota State (6-0/210)
Smart, instinctive runner that will have a heckuva time trying to unseat one of the Patriots veteran RB’s. Ran a poor 4.69, but looks faster on tape.

John Wise, OL, Illinois (6-5/275)(Wrestler, Tryout)
It worked with Stephen Neal, so Coach Belichick is going back to the well. Wise play DL for Western Illinois in the 2004-2005 season.

Pat Paschall looks like he has 3rd down back or a #4 receiver written all over him. Good hands, excellent burst thru the hole, good vision in the open and good after the catch. There wasn't much tape to watch but he never danced like LM, who I like but not when he dances. Pat P just made people miss or got what was there. Nothing not to like in the footage. Now we need to see him at Pro-speed. If he's for real, maybe he sticks as a return guy/special teamer this year. Intriguing pick up.

Fletcher will be a workhorse. He can definitely compete and has a great chance to make the team. UDFA steal, IMO.

I understand Andrew Brewer WR from Northwestern has been invited.

Nice list of UDFA's,my observations are that Paschall,Anderson and Fletcher all have legitimate shots of winding up on the roster. Anderson is an elite WR. Fletcher remided me immediately of Bruschi, and Pascall running style reminds me of a guy named Marcus Allen and if you've never seen Marcus run with the ball youtube him as I'm sure there will be some old videos of his running style. Let me add that Sergio Brown will make at least the PS as will Ventrone.

DO NOT RIGHT OFF PASCHALL'S CHANCE TO MAKE THE TEAM AND CPNTRIBUTE.HE IS YOUNG MAN WITH A LOVE OF THE GAME,GREAT DESIRE AND MOTIVATION,SUPERB NATURAL INSTINCTS AND VISION FOR A R.B.,SURPRISING POWER FOR A 210 POUNDER,BETTER IN THE OPEN FIELD THAN YOU WOULD IMAGINE GIVEN HIS LACK OF ELITE SPEED(AND HE DOES PLAY THE GAME FASTER THAN HE TIMES OUT),HAS NATURALLY SOFT HANDS AND IS WILLING TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET THE JOB DONE.HOW DO I KNOW ABOUT ABOUT PASCHALL?ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS WENT TO NORTH DAKOTA STATE AND IS AN ARDENT ALUM WHO GETS FILM OF EVERY ONE OF THEIR GAMES AND GETS ME TO WATCH THEM WITH HIM.WHEN YOU GET ACHANCE TO WATCH HIM PLAY I FEEL YOU THAT HE HAS A LEGITIMATE SHOT.A SURE THING?NO,BUT A REAL CHANCE.

Read the scouting report on Paschall, catches all balls thrown his way, possibly heir apparent to a Kevin Faulk, Faulk cannot play for ever.

Sergio Brown in the house! No one has more raw athleticism or energy…still seemed a little raw this past year. Would be a great practice squadder

  8. Anonymous says:

Anderson will be the top undrafted free agent. great size, good ability going up to get the ball… faster than many people think. also a very good route runner, this is a guy bellicheck and brady will fall in love with

  9. Anonymous says:

Great Pick In Ventrone… He will have as much or more of an impact then Ray did on the team. Great Pick up, Love it

  10. Dax says:

No dont oust The Lawfirm, oust Maroney. Trade Maroney, give this new kid and BGE a shot.

  11. Anonymous says:

Paschall looks better than Maroney on the video…very quick and shifty…and seeks to avoid defenders than run into the pile. He could surprise and oust BJGE for the last RB slot. If not…he'll surely make the practice squad.

Anderson is a hard worker and is very strong. He loves to play the game and will do what ever to make the team

Thanks for the paschall post; I know the competition wasn’t GREAT, but was anyone else reminded of Curtis Martin on some of those runs? Smart, slippery back?

  15. Admin says:

From what I understand, Alexander is injured.

  16. Anonymous says:

Any chance the Pats sign Donario Alexander?

Pat Paschall led the FCS in rushing this year….

looks pretty good acccording to this video

  18. NFL Draft God says:
