2010 NFL Draft: With the 150th Pick…

With the 150th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Patriots select Michigan punter Zoltan Mesko. Mesko will replace Chris Hanson, who will not return to the Patriots.

Mesko had a poor day at the Senior Bowl, but his athleticism and punting skills make him an attractive addition to New England. Mesko averaged over 44.5 yards per punt in his senior season, which also saw the former Wolverine improve his directional punting skills.

Mesko is a native of Romania, also speaks Hungarian. Our friends at the Patriots Hungarian Fan Club have to be ecstatic.

Mesko joins Devin McCourty, Rob Gronkowski, Jermaine Cunningham, Brandon Spikes, Taylor Price, and Aaron Hernandez as the newest Patriots.

Hey they had to make sure they grabbed Zoltan before he dropped to appease the powerful “Patriots Hungary Fan Club.” They’re going nuts over the pick lol.

pick of definite need, but did we really have to make it in the 5th round? I agree with the name though; that had to have increased his overall value. Zoltan controls the way the wind blows!
