2010 NFL Draft: Day Two Trade Options

I’m sure that you will see Coach Belichick on the phone even more tonight. With the Patriots being one of the power brokers in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, they hold picks 44, 47, 53, and 90, expect a lot of movement up and down the board tonight. Let’s see who we may be dealing with.

Oakland:
The Raiders hold picks 39 and 69 tonight. If there someone on the board that Coach Belichick wants, he may leapfrog the Dolphins at 40 to get the job done. Picks 47 and 53 might be enough to get picks 39 and 69 from Al Davis.

Chiefs:
Kansas City has tons of needs. The hold picks 36, 50, and 68 tonight. At the 36th selection, the Patriots would be guaranteed to get either the reportedly injured Sergio Kindle, Linval Joseph, Golden Tate, Arrelious Benn, or Ricky Sapp. A 4th round pick (113), plus maybe a swap of later picks, might be all that is needed to get there from 44.

Let us know what trades you think might go down.

The psotions I think they draft in round 2/3 will be OL, WR, ILB and RB.

Players…Rodger Saffold, Damian William/Golden Tate, Brandon Spikes, and Hardesty…

I say we make a trade for either Haynesworth or John Henderson from the Jags. Both appear to be available. Haynesworth is better and would cost more and probably have to change to a 4-3 for most parts since he doesnt want to play in a 3-4. But he only said he doesnt want to play nose in a 3-4. Henderson is 6’7 335, I think he would be a beast if we put him at the end spot for the 3-4, and we could probably get him and a 3rd or 4th for one of our 2nd round picks.

Predicting a trade is worse that trying to predict the actual player Bill is trying to get in a draft slot…enough already!!!

    Olsen’s not available; probably never really was. Lots of needs; 2 pass-rushers, TE & WR. I’d probably use #’s 44 & 47 (whoever’s left betw/ Tate/Benn & Kindle/Sapp, then see if I could deal either # 53 for 3rd rounders.

What about a pick for a player? Send our newly acquired pick to Chicago for Greg Olsen.
