According to a league source, the Patriots will hold a private workout with BYU tight end Dennis Pitta in the coming days. The sure-handed Pitta made a name for himself catching the ball for the Cougars, reminding many of a certain Indianapolis Colts TE. His blocking skills aren’t terrible, but nobody will mistake him for Daniel Graham in the running game.
After completely hitting the restart button on the TE position, the Patriots seem to be very eager about bringing in new blood. They have held a private workout with Tony Moeaki and are kicking the tires on former Titan Alge Crumpler.
The Patriots are also expected to work with FB Manase Tonga.

BYU FAN RIGHT HERE AS MUCH AS I HATE THE PATRIOTS I WISH THAT HE WOULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
I love this guy…great hands, and he has all the rest: size, speed (ran well), strong, but he’s a “snatcher”…a hands catcher and I wouldn’t be surprised if they took him with a 2nd round pick.
The Patriots should take him in the first round.
He was the Consensus All-American T.E. for good reason.
Waffle too long and he’ll be gone.
The Patriots should draft this guy in the 2nd round.
