Patriots Meet with Gresham, McCourty

According to KFFL, Nick Caserio of the Patriots front-office met with Oklahoma TE Jermaine Gresham and Rutgers CB Devin McCourty recently.

Gresham is widely predicted to be the first tight end of the board in the upcoming 2010 NFL Draft, probably in the 17-32 range. His blend of size, strength, and speed is a rare find. The Patriots currently have one tight end with NFL experience on the roster, former Titan Alge Crumpler.

McCourty is arguably the most polished cornerback in this year’s draft, although supporters of Joe Haden and Kyle Wilson might take umbrage at that. McCourty’s ball and coverage skills combined with ability to return kicks, make him a solid option for the Patriots in the 1st or 2nd rounds of the NFL Draft.

Patriots need help in alot of areas actually. One things for certain, we choose the best qualifies at No. 22, and we will find hidden treasures in the 2nd round regardless. Coach B has made exceptional choices in the 2nd and later rounds. We are set up perfectly in this years draft.

Hey, i think you got the right idea Tommytee. But the only pick i disagree with is the #22 should be used in a DE/OLB pass rusher specialist ( I know this sounds like something you probably heard many times by everyone). But i wouldn’t be surprised if you are right.

McCourty has pick #44 all over him. After taking WR Golden Tate with #22, take McCourty with #44, come back with OLB Ricky Sapp at #47, and then finish up with Linval Joseph at #53 as your future RDE. Take the TE in the 4th round.
