Fresno State vs Wyoming – December 19th, 4:30pm, ESPN
Top NFL Draft Prospects for the New Mexico Bowl
1. Ryan Mathews, Junior RB, Fresno St. (Pictured)
Mathews is a bruising runner in the mold of Corey Dillon that carries a late-2nd early 3rd-round grade due to some injury issues. He has racked up almost 1700 yards despite missing one plus games due to a concussion late in the year. He also missed parts of his first two years in college, leading to concerns about his durability.
2. John Fletcher, Senior DL/LB, Wyoming
Fletcher is a small-school prospect that could catch on with a team needing a solid DL or a LB project. While he doesn’t have the best speed, he has a knack for getting to the ball-carrier and making plays; Fletcher had three blocked kicks this year.
