Boston College vs USC, December 26th, 8:00pm, ESPN / ESPN Radio
Top NFL Draft Prospects for the Emerald Bowl:
1. Everson Griffen, Junior DE, USC (Pictured)
Griffen has the explosiveness off the edge combined with strength that can hold up against the run that NFL defenses crave. Griffen might not declare, but he will be a mid-first to early-second round pick.
2. Taylor Mays, Senior S, USC
Mays’ college exploits are well-known, although some have sung his greatness a bit much. Barring injury, Mays will be a 1st round pick this spring, however, NFL fans should back off on the Polamalu/Ed Reed comparisons for know.
3. Matt Tennant, Senior C, Boston College
Tennant is arguably the best senior center this year. His smart line calls and solid technique should translate to a 2nd-3rd round selection.
4. Charles Brown, Senior OT, USC
Brown is a solid o-line prospect that needs to gain bulk, mainly since he is a converted tight-end. His good feet have allowed him to get away with it in college, but the NFL will be a different story. Flaws and all, Brown should be picked inside the first two rounds.
