3 Up, 3 Down – Buffalo

Up
Laurence Maroney – The king of stutter-step ran hard last night, getting 10 yards when he could, and taking 3 yards when he couldn’t. Two big losses were not his fault.

Ben Watson – For a man written off as cut in the pre-season, Watson came through big with two TD’s in the 4th quarter to seal the victory.

Tully Banta-Cain – In TBC’s homecoming party, he was the lone Patriot to apply consistent pressure on the quarterback.

Down
Defensive Line – Fred Jackson gashed the line, while no d-lineman was able to apply pressure on even a sporadic basis against a very green offensive line.

Matt Light – A bad penalty, as well as some missed blocks led the Patriots to try Sebastian Voller at the position.

Opening Day Injury Bug – Jerod Mayo going down with a left knee injury was an ugly site to see.
