Patriots Add Paris Lenon

The Patriots have added to their linebacker Wednesday by signing free-agent Paris Lenon. Lenon is expected to play inside in the Patriots 3-4 scheme.

Lenon makes the second player added from the lowly Detroit Lions defense this off-season. CB Leigh Bodded was signed earlier this spring. Lenon was the leading tackler for the uber-bad Lions, who played in a 4-3 defense.

With 3rd-round pick Tyrone McKenzie going down to an ACL Injury, it was widely speculated that the Patriots would add another ILB. Lenon should compete with Gary Guyton and Tedy Bruschi for the privilege to play alongside with Jerod Mayo. Other options would include veteran Eric Alexander and UDFA Antonio Appleby.
