Patriots Week 9: Three Up, Three Down

The Patriots 18-15 loss to the Indiapolis Colts was a tough thing to stomach for Patriots fans. Here are some players that helped and some that hurt our cause.

Three Up
Offensive Line– The gameplan got the ball out quick, but no sacks and good holes for BJGE and Kevin Faulk show that the O-Line stepped up big.

Brandon Meriweather– Meriweather was just a split-second off from breaking up multiple passes, and really layed the wood while tackling.

Defensive Rookies– Mayo, Guyton, Wilhite, and Wheatley all played well when called upon.

Three Down
Coaching– The first game that I can remember Belichick making multiple errors, although hindsight is 20/20.

David Thomas– I hate to criticize him for finishing a block, but you have to be smarter than that.

Jabar Gaffney
– Next time, try holding on to the ball before attempting to kick the extra-point.
